The Living Faith Trio is a dynamic mixed group whose ministry is firmly rooted in their love for God, love for His message, love for His people, and love for His music. Combine this with a commitment to excellence, and the result is a group that provides a polished, yet warm and sincere, presentation of the gospel through a mixture of traditional and progressive music. Each song communicates the message of God’s love and redemption clearly, and their lyrics are complimented by powerful vocals and tight, smooth harmonies. Even when not on stage, the members of The Living Faith Trio demonstrate Christ’s love as they interact with those around them with humility and compassion, never hesitating to share a kind word or a moment of prayer. These young people know whom they serve and are eager to share their knowledge of the hope and salvation that is found in Christ whenever the door is opened.

Bridget Taylor, Alto

Bridget was raised in Thomson, Georgia. For more than thirteen years, she sang and traveled with her family’s southern gospel group across the southeast United States. In addition to being an accomplished vocalist, she has her master’s degree and has been teaching for seven years. Her faith in moving to Missouri to join the group was affirmed by the Lord when He provided a teaching position in her specialized field of study with the Nixa R-II School District. She adds a uniquely textured, alto voice to the group. She also produces the group’s newsletter and handles communication with churches, concert organizers, and supporters of Living Faith.

Laura Whisler, Soprano

Laura was raised in Eureka, Missouri. She was first introduced to southern gospel music by her father, who sang in a gospel quartet. At age five, she made a personal commitment to start a gospel group at Southwest Baptist Univeristy. During her college years, the Lord allowed her to begin a ladies’ quartet, called HeartSong, which traveled across the country for more than three years. Laura graduated from Southwest Baptist University in 2002 with a degree in vocal performance and commercial music. Currently, Laura is the Partner Development Manager for the Springfield, Missouri Convention & Visitors Bureau. As well as being a trained vocalist, Laura has a natural ability to hear harmonies and the vocal flexibility to sing a variety of parts. In addition to singing, Laura manages the group and handles all scheduling and church relations.

Mark Whisler, Tenor

Mark was raised in Hurst, Texas and Bolivar, Missouri. He was introduced to music at a very young age because of the important role it played in his family’s life. As a youngster, Mark entertained family and friends with his sharp musical abilities – both vocal and instrumental. As he got older, he began to hone his guitar skills and played and sang in several groups. Mark and Laura met at Southwest Baptist University in 1999 and he immediately began supporting her love of southern gospel music. In July 2003, Mark and Laura married. Currently, Mark is a Programmer Analyst for American National Property & Casualty Company. Mark has been an integral part of The Living Faith Trio from the beginning as he engineered the sound and administered the web site, but in January 2006, he began singing with the group.
